Job summary

Brookfield Properties Multifamily LLC in Everton is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to join our property teams. You will perform HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and machinery tasks to keep our communities safe and comfortable.

We value teamwork, reliability, clear communication, and a strong customer-service mindset. A HS diploma, 1–2 years of property experience, and relevant certifications are preferred; weekend work may be required, with full benefits and growth

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in commercial or multi-unit residential property.
• High School Diploma or GED required; 3–4 years can offset education.
• HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• HVAC: repairs, cleans, replaces components.
• Plumbing: repairs, replace parts, installations.
• Carpentry: repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks.
• Painting: drywall/plaster repairs, painting.
• Electrical/Appliance: lighting, wiring, power circuits, switches.
• Machinery: repair and maintain chillers, belts, pumps, fans.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description Overview:

• HVAC: repairs, cleans, replaces, etc.
• Plumbing: repairs, replace parts, installation (sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.)
• Carpentry: repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
• Painting: drywall/plaster repairs, painting
• Electrical/Appliance: lighting, wiring, power circuits, replacing switches, lamps, etc.
• Machinery: repair and maintain chillers, belts, pumps, fans, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
• This position requires a High School Diploma/GED.
• 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements for this position.
• Preferred certifications for this position include HVAC (depending on property), Electrical, or Plumbing.
• This position may require a valid driver’s license depending on the needs of the property.
• Required skills: self-motivated, team-player, communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability.
• May be required to work weekends - Saturday and Sunday.
• Computer and smart phone literacy required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities.
• Multilingual skills are a plus.

Compensation

Commensurate with Experience $ 22.97 - 32.16 hourly
