Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH Company, is seeking a maintenance mechanic to perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, following diagrams, and troubleshooting malfunctions.

This is a union role. Responsibilities include keeping facilities’ equipment, buildings, and grounds in safe condition; constructing fixtures; performing inspections; and reviewing blueprints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred.
• Mechanical skills and electrical knowledge are required in an industrial setting.
• Ability to review basic machine blueprints and read schematics.
• Forklift training and certification will be provided by the company as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the safe working condition of facility equipment, building, and grounds.
• Constructs fixtures as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as scheduled.
• Repairs facility equipment, fixtures, building, and grounds.
• Removes and/or installs fixtures and equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Troubleshoots systems to find causes of failures and recommends solutions for repair.
• Maintains cleanliness, functionality, and efficiency of maintenance equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Other duties will be assigned as needed.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. This is a union role.

Job Requirements

• Forklift training and certification will be provided by company as necessary
• At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred
• Mechanical skills
• Electrical skills, preferred
• Strong working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
• Ability to review and understand basic machine blueprints
• Ability to use hand tools and basic machine shop equipment
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $38.55/hr
