Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a temporary, part-time role in Dunwoody, GA. The technician will care for guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces, performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical and other trades as needed.

Candidate should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work nights/weekends/holidays, and communicate effectively in English. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

Maintains guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas.
Competent in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, wall coverings and masonry.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a 24/7 environment.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

Complete all required training.
Adhere to standard operating procedures and brand standards.
Repair or replace items such as lights, outlets, faucets, and hardware.
Maintain records of repairs and calendar upcoming tasks.
Inspect guestrooms and public spaces for repair needs.
Assist other teams with preventive maintenance.
Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
Ensure safety and security of guests and assets.

Maintenance Technician (Temporary - Part Time)

Job Description

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the guest rooms, public space, and back of the house areas in good repair. A facility engineer is competent in various trades, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering, and masonry, to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

Complete all required training

Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property specific brand standards

Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests

Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures

Repair or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous items

Maintain a record of repairs performed, repairs calendared and pending, and repairs needing evaluation

Inspect guestrooms, public space and back of the house to evaluate for areas to repair, touch up or replace

Assist other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program

Have basic mechanical aptitude for the operation and repair of hotel facilities and equipment

Have working knowledge of basic hand and power tools

Is responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets in conjunction with hotel management

Will keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, associate issues, etc.

Necessary Skills

Able to communicate effectively in writing, by telephone and in person

Able to report to scheduled shifts

Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays

Can perform work for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment

Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far

Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder

Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours

Must be able to handle heat and stress

Able to work in varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, etc.

Have finger dexterity for operating equipment

Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
