Job summary

Lucky Strike Entertainment in Destin, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our waterpark attractions running safely and reliably. You’ll perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs with a focus on guest safety and park operations.

Applicants must be 18+, hold a valid state driver’s license, and have at least two years of mechanical/industrial maintenance experience. The role is part-time/seasonal, outdoors, with park perks and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in mechanical/industrial maintenance or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend maintenance manuals, safety regulations, and technical instructions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Bilingual abilities are a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Perform line inspections to ensure equipment and attractions are safe.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on various equipment, including attractions.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely, efficient repairs.
• Remove and/or replace worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Work safely in accordance with OSHA Standards and company policies.
• Document inspections, corrective actions, and repairs in logbooks.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols while working at heights, in confined spaces, and around mechanical equipment.
• Respond to maintenance service calls and attraction shutdowns promptly.
• Assist in erection, repair, and troubleshooting of various attractions.
• Work independently and manage time efficiently without direct supervision.
• Collaborate with other departments to support park operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to maintain park facilities.

WHAT OUR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS DO

Our Maintenance Technicians ensure the safe and efficient operation of all attractions and equipment. You’ll perform inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance to keep everything running at peak performance.

A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN’S DAY-TO-DAY

• Perform line inspections to ensure all equipment and attractions are in safe working condition.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on various equipment, including attractions.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely, efficient, and safe repairs.
• Remove and/or replace worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Work safely in accordance with OSHA Standards and company policies.
• Document all inspections, corrective actions, and repairs in designated logbooks.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols while working at heights, in confined spaces, and around mechanical equipment.
• Respond to maintenance service calls and attraction shutdowns promptly.

WHAT IT TAKES

• Minimum age: 18 years and valid state driver’s license.
• Minimum two years of experience in mechanical/industrial maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience with door repairs, tile installation, drywall installation, and painting is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend maintenance manuals, safety regulations, and technical instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Typical entertainment and waterpark environment where you’ll walk, bend, and stand for extended periods, and may lift objects with some assistance. You’ll work outdoors in various weather conditions and remain highly alert throughout your shift.
