Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of facility systems and equipment. The role emphasizes electrical systems knowledge, preventive maintenance, and timely problem solving.

You will supervise maintenance activities, read schematics, and collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime while maintaining safety and compliance across our Des Moines, IA site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience in welding and fabrication is a plus.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
• Leadership experience supervising teams or projects is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on facility equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs as needed, using an Ohmmeter and other tools.
• Fabricate parts and components as required to maintain equipment functionality.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot problems effectively.
• Supervise maintenance staff during projects, providing leadership and guidance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with other departments to minimize disruption to operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team.
