Job summary

Fireye, LLC in Derry, NH, seeks a Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing operation. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is required. Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, repairing equipment, responding quickly to breakdowns, and supporting start-ups for new lines while maintaining CMMS

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and manuals; strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout and safety procedures; strong documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on production assets.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and communicate repair status promptly.
  • Install, relocate, and start up production equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate work orders and CMMS records; identify spare parts.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to improve reliability.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to support a safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operation. This position performs preventive and corrective maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, and works proactively to identify and prevent recurring equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and complete safe, effective repairs.
  • Respond promptly to production equipment breakdowns and communicate equipment status and repair needs.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, lubrication, and component replacement.
  • Test equipment following repairs to ensure proper and safe operation.
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend reliability improvements.
  • Support the installation, relocation, and startup of production equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Perform basic facility maintenance involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, lighting, and other building systems within appropriate qualifications.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs or services are required.
  • Maintain accurate work orders and maintenance records, including repairs completed, parts used, and outstanding concerns.
  • Identify replacement parts and critical spare-part requirements.
  • Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, storage areas, and workspaces in a clean and organized condition.
  • Follow all site safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and equipment guarding requirements.
  • Report safety hazards, equipment concerns, near misses, and other unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, safety, and maintainability.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school, trade certification, or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Working knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, controls, pumps, compressed-air systems, and other industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, equipment drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing maintenance needs, and recognize when additional technical support is required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using maintenance work-order or CMMS systems preferred.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, and other maintenance equipment.
Physical & Work Requirements
  • This is a full-time, onsite position in Derry, New Hampshire.
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and work around manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move materials and equipment consistent with job requirements.
  • Ability to work safely in manufacturing and mechanical environments and wear required PPE.
  • Occasional overtime or off-hours support may be required based on operational needs.
