Job summary

eStaffing Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II for a 6-month contract in a high-speed food manufacturing environment in Colorado.

The role requires hands-on maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production equipment, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and safety. Candidates should be able to read prints, follow manuals, and troubleshoot various malfunctions; lift 50 lbs; be willing to work third shift and potentially swap to second

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Food manufacturing equipment experience is ideal.
• Frequently standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs.
• Ammonia and Boiler knowledge preferred but not required.
• Mechanical/Electrical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs on a repetitive basis.
• Ability to read and understand prints.
• Basic working knowledge of PLCs.
• Basic ability to weld/machine/fabricate.
• Ability to use basic shop and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on electrical motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines.
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions of various types.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Remove defective parts and inspect dimensions using calipers and micrometers.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and inventories; complete maintenance paperwork daily.
• Prepare daily setup of equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with GMP and site policies.
• Perform LOTO as required.

Job Type: Contract

Job Duration: 6 months

Pay rate: $39.78/hr

3rd shift (10pm - 6:30am) with potential for 2nd shift (2pm - 10:30pm)

Is there a possibility this assignment will be converted to full time? Depends on worker's performance.

Candidate must join the onsite union if they are converted to full time.

Job Description:

This is a unionized facility, where senority drives shift assignments and scheduling. Must be flexible for work days and must be open to work a Saturday or Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on electrical motors, pneumatic tools, conveyer systems, and production machines.
• Ability to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions of all varieties.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hand and power tools; and examining the form and texture of parts. - Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipated need. Provides PMs on electrical and mechanical equipment and complete maintenance paperwork daily.
• Prepares daily set up of equipment.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Comply with all GMP and other regulatory requirements as well as all company and site policies. Perform LOTO as required

Requirements-

• Prior maintenance experience in a high-speed manufacturing plant is preferred.
