Job summary

Lifespace is hiring for a Maintenance role at our Delray Beach community. The position involves performing maintenance tasks, preventive care, and repairs to ensure safe, comfortable living environments for residents.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of building maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Florida driver’s license. Training and opportunities for growth are provided within Lifespace Communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical education preferred.
• At least 1 year in building maintenance or construction.
• Certification or license to operate/repair equipment as required by state/local regulation.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance; identify deficiencies and correct problems.
• Maintain tools, equipment and supplies; notify supervision for replacements as needed.
• Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
• Complete work within scheduled time frame, per budget and priorities.
• Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
• Pickup and deliver supplies.
• Operate maintenance tools, company vehicles, and snow blowers.

A few details about the role:

• Maintain all tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition, and notifies supervisors to ensure adequate replacements are available as needed.
• Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs.
• Complete work within scheduled time frame, according to budget and priority set by supervisor.
• Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material.
• Pick up and deliver supplies.
• Operate maintenance equipment not limited to hand or power tools, company vehicles, or snow blowers.

And here's what you need to apply:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical education preferred.
• A minimum of one-year experience working in building maintenance or construction.
• Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment.
• A state issued driver's license with a driving record clear of infractions as defined by current insurance mandates.
