Job summary

StrataTech Education Group is seeking a capable maintenance technician to upkeep machines, equipment, and the building structure. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and order replacement parts as part of a broad facilities role.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience. You will work with a variety of tools and environments across campuses. Strong problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with at least two years in a related field.
• Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
• Willingness to perform preventive maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools, including hammers, hoists, saws, drills and wrenches.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and building systems.
• Repair or replace defective parts using tools and reassemble equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints and manuals.
• Order parts from catalogs or storerooms.
• Install wiring, plumbing, and electrical components as needed.
• Attend semi-annual graduation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

Position Summary:

Perform work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and the structure of an establishment in good repair.

Responsibilities:

• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary
• Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms
• Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment
• Mandatory attendance at semi-annual graduation
• Other duties/projects as assigned

Required Knowledge, Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED with a minimum of two years related field experience.
