Job summary

Medical City Green Oaks Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Maintenance Technician to keep equipment in top operating condition and maintain the facility’s appearance. You will work closely with clinicians and staff to ensure safe, efficient operations across departments.

Applicants should have strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to read schematics, and a proven record of professional communication. This role has no travel and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must possess EPA Technician certification.
• Permits/licenses for Boiler, Electrician, HVAC or Plumber as applicable.
• Strong ability to read controls schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital equipment to minimize breakdowns.
• Ensure the hospital’s aesthetic appearance is maintained.
• Interact professionally with physicians, nurses and staff at all times.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Maintain equipment in top operating conditions and minimize breakdown of it.
• Ensure that the aesthetic appearance of the hospital is maintained in satisfactory condition.
• Must possess unique skills which foster cooperative working relationships, which promotes a positive image of the department to outside personnel.
• Good verbal/written communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to deal with physicians, nurses, and other hospital personnel in a professional manner at all times.
• Must have effective working relationship with other hospital departments, partners, etc., awareness of cost and equipment used and control of hospital assets.
• Mechanic must also have proven technical experience and skills in troubleshooting control circuits, mechanical equipment, ability to read controls schematics, manuals, etc., and the ability to diagnose and repair those more technical problems that occur with controls, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, or plumbing.

What qualifications you will need:

• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• EPA Technician
• (BOILER) Boiler Mechanic Permit, or (ELEC-JOUR) Journeyman Electrician, or (HVAC) HVAC Technician, or (PLUMB-JOUR) Journeyman Plumber, or (ELEC-MAINT) Electrical Maintenance License
