Job summary

Fairfield Property Management is seeking a motivated Part‑Time Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Columbia Gardens community in Columbia, LA. You will respond promptly to service requests and perform a range of maintenance tasks to keep the property in top condition.

This role requires 1–3 years of residential maintenance experience, HVAC certification, and a valid driver’s license. On‑call availability and reliable transportation are essential to service residents and ensure quality

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of maintenance experience on a residential property preferred.
• HVAC certification.
• Ability to work on-call and respond promptly and appropriately to all calls.
• Ability to maintain reliable transportation, a current and valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform all general maintenance duties for the upkeep of the property.
• Respond to resident work orders.
• Perform carpentry, electrical, and plumbing work.
• Repair appliances, heating and air conditioning units, ceiling fans, refrigerators, etc.
• Install sheetrock.
• Paint vacant and occupied apartments.
• Assist in maintaining the property grounds by performing pool maintenance, picking up and removing trash and debris, pressure washing sidewalks and buildings, etc.
• Pick up parts and supplies as necessary.

Job Overview

Fairfield Property Management is seeking a motivated Part‑Time Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our residents and maintaining our properties to the highest standards. You will respond promptly and courteously to service requests, ensuring every detail aligns with our quality guidelines.

This position is located at our Columbia Gardens community in Columbia, LA. Columbia Gardens is a newly renovated 24‑unit Section 8 and LIHTC apartment community.

Expected to work 35 hours a week.
