Job summary

B.HOM Student Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive maintenance, and complete unit turns to prepare apartments for new residents. You will diagnose issues across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry, while maintaining safety and high standards of service.

The role requires strong problem-solving, good communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy student housing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in electrical, painting, drywall, plumbing or related trades preferred.
  • EPA/HVAC certifications are a plus and may be required by state law.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry and drywall.
  • Complete unit turns and prepare units for new residents.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure safety compliance.
  • Inspect property and coordinate vendors/contractors as needed.
  • Maintain records, invoices and maintenance documentation.

This role ensures that the physical aspects of the property meet company standards while delivering timely, high-quality service to residents.
