Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the property team with daily repairs and upkeep. Responsibilities include preparing vacant units for occupancy, maintaining inventory, and ensuring tools and supplies are available to complete tasks efficiently.

You will work under OSHA standards, maintain a professional appearance, and participate in on-call rotations. HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge is essential to diagnose issues and perform effective

• Proficient with hand tools including power tools.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Experience in property maintenance/handyman work.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Effective communication with residents and team.

• Repair and upkeep of property, including vacant unit preparation.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; ensure tools are on hand.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Keep a professional uniform and appearance.
• Operate in compliance with OSHA standards and safety policies.
• Be available for on-call coverage and 24/7 responsiveness.
• Secure maintenance shops at close of day; snow/ice removal as needed.
• Handle lock-outs from evictions and respond promptly to service requests.

Job description

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician!

Maintenance Technicians Maintain the efficient operation and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds in a supportive role.

Responsibilities Include

• Take responsibility for the daily repair and upkeep of the property and the preparation of vacant units for occupancy
• Maintain and keep an inventory of all supplies and equipment
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents
• Maintain the required property uniform ensuring a professional appearance
• Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times
• Be available to work on an on-call basis
• Secure the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every workday
• Remove snow and ice as necessary
• Handle all lock-outs as a result of evictions and take responsibility for 24-hour response to service requests

Requirements

• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Property maintenance/handyman experience

Compensation:

Full-Time $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
