Filtration Group in Chicopee, MA is seeking a maintenance technician to keep all building and production equipment in top condition. You will interact with production, quality, engineering, and management to ensure reliable operation and preventive maintenance programs.

You will respond rapidly to breakdowns, set up new jobs quickly, maintain documentation, and coordinate with suppliers. Strong mechanical aptitude, forklift operation, and English communication are essential.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED is required, with 5+ years in injection molding setup/processing.
• Ability to operate forklift equipment.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and light machining.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Overview

The maintenance technician interacts with production workers, production management, quality management, engineering and plant management to keep all equipment in the building in good working condition. This person is responsible for building maintenance as well as production equipment.

Responsibilities

The maintenance technician role includes, but is not limited to the following essential duties, other duties may be assigned as dictated by business need:

Minimize machine downtime by responding to equipment breakdowns quickly and getting equipment back online, or swapping a spare machine as quickly as possible.

Minimize machine downtime by setting up new jobs quickly.

Proactively maintain all equipment in good running condition by means of an effective preventive maintenance program.

Maintain records using the Daily Maintenance log and Preventive Maintenance data bases.

Keep spare parts area clean and organized. Order spare parts and maintain records using parts order forms.

Conduct and document emergency lighting, fire extinguisher and emergency door inspections.

Leave all worksites clean and organized upon completion of work.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in injection molding setup and processing. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.

Ability to operate forklift equipment.

Proficiency in using hand tools and performing light machining.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Ability to plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment across a variety of tasks.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to read and write in English.

Ability to work under time pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Authorized to work in the U.S. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

Capable of performing basic physical tasks such as lifting to 50 lbs., reading, and using hands for typing and writing.
