Job summary

Marquette Management Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain a clean, well-kept living environment for residents.

Responsibilities include repairs in apartments and common areas, vacant unit preparation, snow/trash removal, emergency repairs, and general maintenance duties. The role requires prior maintenance experience, preferably in apartments or hotels, plus strong customer service and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience required, preferably in the apartment or hotel industry.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• General computer knowledge and comfort with basic software.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliances and apartment turns.

Responsibilities

• General repairs to apartments and common areas.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in.
• Snow and trash removal; emergency repairs as needed.
• Cleaning and landscaping around properties.
• Order maintenance equipment and supplies; record-keeping.
• Accept deliveries; move appliances; other related tasks.

Marquette Management Inc., www.marquettemanagement.com is looking for a maintenance technician in Chicago, IL. The maintenance position plays a key role in effectively accomplishing the goal of providing residents with a clean, well maintained living environment. To accomplish this goal, the responsibilities of the maintenance department include, but are not limited to, general repairs to the apartments and common areas of the buildings and grounds, vacant apartment preparation, snow and trash removal, emergency repairs, cleaning, landscaping, ordering maintenance equipment and supplies, record keeping, accepting deliveries, moving appliances and other job related duties.

The Maintenance Technician must have previous maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment or hotel industry, as well as excellent customer service skills and general computer knowledge. Candidate should have experience with plumbing, electrical, appliances, and apartment turns. Availability for on-call purposes Schedule flexibility, ability to work weekends when necessary is also a plus! This is a Union position. Helper A
