This position is responsible to oversee all repair and maintenance of various printing presses and equipment associated in the Manufacturing Shop and assists with Production Assembly.
The Maintenance Technician is flexible with their schedule as needed while being organized and with pride must be able to demonstrate and share an understanding of how important it is to keep equipment up and running with minimal downtime. Promotes excellent press and equipment operator safety and behaviors with effective collaboration. It has a fix it, not repair mentality. Additionally, this position will assist with building maintenance and is responsible for meeting all company safety and compliance standards.
Hours are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday-Friday.
Essential Functions & Principal Accountabilities
- Ownership of Manufacturing Shop Maintenance
- Reviews current Maintenance Program and recommends and assists with streamlining changes for overall efficiencies.
- Ensures equipment is properly maintained, guarded and operating in a safe manner with a safety-first mentality.
- Becomes subject matter expert with all equipment.
- Time Management, planning needs and is motivated and ability to work independently.
- Communicates and plans with Management on daily priorities.
- Identify and logs issues and concisely shares potential risks and completes repairs.
- Provides daily status updates on all open repairs or issues with estimated completion dates.
- Work with and manages outside vendors or contractors as needed.
- Build and maintain PM Program for various equipment while meeting schedules with neat and timely record keeping including ensuring procedures are updated as needed.
- Responsible for updating QT9 Maintenance entries
- Develops and manages Spare Parts Inventory for commonly needed parts on all equipment.
- Keeps tools neat and organized along with owner’s manuals, easy to locate and use for various repairs.
- Assist with 6S Implementation.
- Provides technical support for maintenance functions.
- Lock-out Tag-out Experience
- Generator Operation Experience
- Good follow-up and communication skills
- Maintain a clean & neat work environment.
- Adheres to safety guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- ISO program compliance and support

Education / Training / Experience
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 5-10 years hands‑on Mechanical and Utility Experience desired
Preferred Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics
- Proficient in electrical diagnostics, reading and understanding of electrical schematics
- Proficient in electrical installation of 120-480 volts
- Excellent reasoning and problem‑solving ability.
- Ability to multi‑task and handle changing priorities.
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays when needed.
- Team Player – willingness to assist others.
- Ability to communicate English.
- Ability to read/write English.
- Basic algebraic abilities and ability to read and interpret measurements.
