Job summary

Kotarides Companies in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community's physical condition at a high standard. You will perform maintenance tasks as directed, respond to service requests, and help with unit turnovers under supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of apartment or similar maintenance experience.
• HVAC Type I and Type II certifications required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance as directed by the Property Manager and Senior Maintenance Technician.
• Ensure timely completion of resident service requests.
• Ensure timely turnover of vacant units under direction of the Property Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness of the community.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, expenditures, apartment make ready status, work-in-progress, etc.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing storage and management of hazardous materials.
• After-hours on call required on a rotating basis.
• Be available to report to work during any inclement weather event for property clean up and emergencies.

• Perform maintenance as directed by the Property Manager and Senior Maintenance Technician.
