Job summary

PREIT is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist the Operations Manager in maintaining building systems and safety standards at the Cherry Hill Mall area. The role includes troubleshooting, minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and support for events and decor installations.

You will perform interior/exterior maintenance, custodial tasks, and snow removal as needed, while adhering to PREIT's Safety, Health, and Environment policies and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of building maintenance or related field experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, plans, and schematic drawings.
  • Must be a self-starter capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Handle interior/exterior maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, lighting, and flooring.
  • Assist with inventory, records, SDS, and supplies.
  • Support event setup and mall décor installations.
  • Assist with snow removal and general custodial duties as needed.
  • Engage in safety training and compliance with OSHA standards.

Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager or Manager on Duty with the implementation of safety plans, operating standards and guidelines, troubleshooting, repairs, and performing preventative maintenance required to maintain the physical assets of the property.ResponsibilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems.Operate a variety of equipment to perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs and maintain cleanliness of property.Perform a variety of maintenance/minor repair activities on the interior/exterior areas of the property including, but not limited to, painting, drywall, parking lots, sidewalks, plumbing repairs, clears drain stoppages, lighting, flooring, and roof.Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, supplies, equipment, and tools.Repair, modify, move retail merchandising units as needed.Assist in the setup of events and install/take-down mall décor.Perform interior/exterior custodial duties as needed which may include sweeping, vacuuming, steam cleaning, gathering trash, empty trash receptacles; operate compactor; and landscaping.Assist with snow removal by vehicle and/or by hand (if applicable)Embody and support PREIT’s Safety, Health, and Environment Policy.
