Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician. The core hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
- Support and comply with Eaton Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems with little to no supervision.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) and planned shutdown work to improve equipment reliability.
- Perform a variety of maintenance/minor repair activities but not limited to painting, drywall, parking lots, plumbing repairs, lighting, flooring, and roof.
- Perform basic electrical work (120V) and support higher‑voltage systems as qualified.
- Operate maintenance work order system to complete assignments and provide feedback.
- Read and understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
- Assist with motor control, starters, and basic troubleshooting of electrical components.
- Perform welding and metal repair to restore or improve equipment.
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 4 years hands‑on experience in industrial maintenance (mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical).

- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Camarillo, CA (50 miles) will be considered.
- This position requires access to export‑controlled information. The applicant must be a U.S. person as defined by U.S. Government export regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 480V3‑phase systems, motor controls, and VFDs.
- Familiarity with power distribution systems up to 600V.
- Experience with emergency power or process control systems.
- Experience in performing power system analysis, short circuit and load flow studies. Familiarity with process control systems and emergency power systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of municipal electrical code applicable to installation, maintenance, and repair work.
- Hands‑on experience troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), including parameter setup, fault diagnostics, and motor performance issues.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar), including basic ladder logic interpretation, I/O troubleshooting, sensor, switch, and interlock diagnostics.
- Trade or technical school certificate or equivalent preferred.
Position Criteria:
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Good mechanical aptitude with knowledge of practices, tools, and equipment used in mechanic’s trade.
- Knowledge of procedures for installing all sizes of electrical conduit, cables, wires, switches, automatic stating equipment, and pole line construction, etc.
- Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and repairing machine shop equipment including Haas CNC Lathes, Mazak CNC Lathes, Haas Mills, Moroski Mills, Injection Molding Machines, Thermal Transfer Molding Machines, and Reciprocating Stamping Presses.
- Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment including chillers, cooling towers, thermolators, air compressors, and water treatment systems.
- Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, manifolds, and accumulators.Industrial control systems, limit switches, safety circuits, relays, contactors, and motor starters.
- Ability to troubleshoot control issues using schematics, multimeters, and diagnostic tools.
- Must be able to work under minimum supervision and be self‑motivated.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in both hot and cold weather.
- Ability to operate industrial equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
- Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
