Job summary

PF Management Group is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance across Planet Fitness locations. You will keep clubs, equipment, and facility systems safe, functional, and clean for members.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, and able to troubleshoot independently. Travel between Planet Fitness locations is required, and you will coordinate with vendors and management to prioritize repairs.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities, mechanical, or equipment repair preferred.
• Experience working on commercial fitness equipment is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance priorities.
• Comfortable using mobile applications, email, and maintenance tracking systems.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial fitness equipment.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance needs of our Planet Fitness locations. This position is responsible for keeping our clubs, fitness equipment, and facility systems operating safely, efficiently, and at a high standard.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, able to troubleshoot problems independently, and comfortable traveling between locations as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial fitness equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance on cardio and strength equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and general facility issues.
• Complete minor repairs including doors, locks, fixtures, flooring, walls, and other club equipment.
• Respond to maintenance tickets and prioritize repairs based on urgency and operational impact.
• Communicate clearly with club management regarding repairs, timelines, parts, and follow-up needs.
• Coordinate with outside vendors when repairs require specialized service.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, parts used, purchases, and expenses.
• Submit receipts and documentation for maintenance-related purchases.
• Inspect club exteriors and surrounding property for maintenance concerns.
• Assist with equipment installations, relocations, club projects, and equipment replacements.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and commonly used maintenance supplies.
• Travel between assigned Planet Fitness locations as required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent support to club management and staff.

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance, facilities, mechanical, or equipment repair experience preferred.
• Experience working on commercial fitness equipment is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance priorities.
• Comfortable using mobile applications, email, and maintenance tracking systems.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift, move, and work with equipment and materials typically associated with facility maintenance.
• Willingness to travel and occasionally adjust schedules based on urgent maintenance needs.
