Job description

We’re now hiring for a Maintenance Technician at Yost Foods in Brunswick, OH!

The Maintenance Technician works in conjunction with Production, Warehouse, Quality Assurance and Office Personnel to effectively maintain and repair the facility, facility grounds and equipment in a safe, hygienic manner as it pertains to the manufacturing of safe, quality foods and to the Yost Foods, Inc. policies and procedures.

Pay: $27-$34/hr based on qualifications

Full Time Day Shift Mon-Fri; occasional nights & weekends may be required

Typical day in the life as a Maintenance Technician:

  • Work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager to inspect, operate or test machinery/ equipment to diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
  • Help to organize and maintain all equipment schematics, manuals and purchase dates.
  • Complete and document work orders in a timely fashion.
  • Help to perform, maintain and document Equipment, Facility and Maintenance Calibration Schedule tasks (FS0039F-1)
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools, and or power tools
  • Help to organize and maintain the Maintenance Shop (tool room)
  • Attend the minimum monthly facility inspections and provide input
  • Help to organize and maintain an inventory of Production equipment spare parts.
  • Paint or repair internal structures (walls, floors)
  • Gather and give information to the Maintenance Manager to help estimate cost of repairs
  • Order parts, supplies and equipment from approved vendors.
  • Respond and react quickly to Production equipment breakdowns, to reduce downtime.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on all production equipment
  • Continuously obtain and complete additional company-paid-for training as needed and as assigned to meet continuous improvement objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned

What we are we looking for?

  • 3-5 years Food Facility experience preferred
  • Current forklift license preferred. Ability to pass and maintain a forklift certificate is required by OSHA
