Southwire Company is seeking a Night shift Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations on the evening swing shift. The role involves multi-craft maintenance, preventive maintenance, and rapid triage of equipment issues to keep lines running at optimal reliability.

The position offers an OT-rich schedule with pension and full benefits, including 401k matching, health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO and holidays.

Competenze

• High school graduate or equivalent; 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background (up to 480V).
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and OEM manuals.
• 5 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience.

Mansioni

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using logical and systematic methods.
• Install and align mechanical drive systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and major overhauls.
• Replace failed parts or components and bring equipment to spec.
• Adjust equipment to meet operational specifications.
• Recommend process changes based on equipment behavior.
• Test electrical systems and verify circuit continuity for safety.
• Maintain maintenance data and historical records.

Night shift Maintenance Technician

• Maintenance Tech 1: $30.71 - $35.64/hour
• Maintenance Tech 2: $35.10 – $40.93/hour

Scheduled OT every other week PLUS additional OT available!

Hours: 4:45 pm – 5:00 am

Days of the week: Swing shift (2, 2, 3 model) – 36 hours one week, 48 hours next week – off every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Work 14 days a month!!!

Qualifications And Experience Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required (2-yr Technical Degree preferred)
• Strong Mechanical and Electrical background (up to 480v)
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience

Maintenance Technician Job Description

• Support manufacturing operations by providing a full range of multi-craft equipment maintenance with focus on reliability and maintainability.
• Ensure sustainable operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, conveyor systems, and other production machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using logical and systematic methodologies.
• Install and perform alignment on mechanical drive systems.
• Complete all assigned preventive tasks including major service and overhaul.
• Replacement of identified failed parts or components.
• Adjust equipment to bring it into operational specifications.
• Recommend process or procedure changes based on observed equipment behavior.
• Testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, and voltmeters to ensure proper operation and safety of system.
• Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Maintain current and accurate maintenance data to determine establish historical records and future maintenance requirements.
