Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on semiconductor abatement equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions using technical expertise and system data; implement timely and effective solutions
- Calibrate equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and operational standards
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance to identify trends and prevent potential failures
- Install, commission, decommission, and qualify new abatement equipment
- Perform equipment upgrades, retrofits, and conversions to support process or production requirements
- Utilize equipment tracking systems to review maintenance history and inform troubleshooting decisions
- Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and calibration records in accordance with company standards
- Ensure compliance with documentation protocols and audit requirements
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
- Support engineering and process teams in experiments, trials, and evaluations aimed at reducing inefficiencies and improving performance
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, waste reduction, and process optimization
- Adhere to all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Maintain safe work practices and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report any unsafe conditions, behaviors, or incidents in accordance with company protocols
- Support ongoing compliance with regulatory and internal safety standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas in alignment with 5S or similar standards
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and quality
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and stakeholders to support operational goals
Requirements
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a related technical environment
- Demonstrated ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), technical manuals, and work instructions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as effectively in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on supporting internal and external customer satisfaction
Preferences
- Experience working on repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining pumps, high vacuum systems, motors, electronics, or pneumatics.
Physical Effort / Activities
May be required to walk up to 5+ miles per day, be on feet for 8-10 hours at a time, bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
