Job summary

AION Management is seeking a Service Technician I to perform general maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping tasks ensuring curb appeal and quality of apartment homes while responding to customer service requests.

Under the direction of the Service Director and Real Estate Manager, you will complete preventative maintenance, repairs, and renovations per company standards, with weekend work and after-hours on-call duties as scheduled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• CFC Type I & II certification preferred, 180 days from hire to obtain.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lift 60 lbs., climb ladders, walk grounds).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned.
• Assist with maintenance of storage area and materials.
• Refurbish and renovate apartments per company standards.
• Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality.
• Notify Business Manager of safety concerns and participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of property-specific issues such as asbestos.
• Assist in snow removal as required.
• Complete service requests in accordance with company standards.

Maintenance Services

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned
• Assist with maintenance of storage area and maintenance materials
• Perform refurbishing and renovation of apartments per company standards
• Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality of apartments
• Notify Business Manager of any safety concerns and participate in safety meetings
• Responsible for knowledge of property specific problems such as asbestos
• Assist in snow removal as required
• Perform other duties as required
• Maintain accurate record of all tasks completed

Customer Service

• Complete all service requests in accordance with company standards
• Available for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency service requests, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as scheduled

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• CFC Type I & II preferred, 180 days from hire to obtain
• Valid Driver’s License
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to walk the grounds and apartments, ascend stairs around the property, lift 60 lbs., climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform other general physical activities such as bending, kneeling, pushing
• Sufficient knowledge to thoroughly complete maintenance assessments up to the standards of a Service Technician I
