Job summary

Inframark is hiring a Maintenance Technician I in Indiana. This entry-level role supports the Operations and Maintenance team by inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a range of equipment to extend service life in an industrial WW plant setting.

You will assist with preventative and corrective maintenance under guidance, take part in routine tests, and comply with safety policies. Requires a high school diploma and willingness to learn.

• Available for all shifts, including weekends and on-call.

JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of equipment to extend its serviceable life. This entry-level role supports facility operations by performing preventative and corrective maintenance under guidance. This is an Industrial WW plant.

Responsibilities

• Assists Lead Maintenance Technician in executing maintenance tasks.
• Cleans and maintains tools, equipment, and assigned workspaces.
• Prepares maintenance rigs and tools for daily operations.
• Repairs or replaces pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses, and other mechanical components.
• Maintains records and documentation of work orders and completed tasks.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance tests and inspections.
• Adheres to all company safety policies and health procedures as they relate to essential job duties.
• Available for all shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings, and emergency on-call rotations.
• Other Duties as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to write simple correspondence and follow written/oral instructions.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and assist in team-based environments.
• Prior water or wastewater treatment facility experience preferred.

Education And/Or Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 0-1 year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred).
• Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) certification or ability to obtain.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairways safely.
• Must be able to pass a fit-test for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
