Job summary

Stonemark Management LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Service Supervisor in maintaining community facilities and grounds.Responsibilities include responding promptly to resident requests, completing repairs in vacant units, and assisting with project execution.

The role requires an EPA certification, a one-year certificate or two years of related experience, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle various hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• EPA certification is required.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or two years related experience at an apartment community and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 100 pounds; must be mechanically inclined.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to residents in a prompt and professional manner.
• Repair vacant apartments in a timely fashion.
• Assist Service Supervisor in completing projects.
• Complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Complete preventive maintenance checklists.
• On-call duty for emergencies or as assigned.
• Responsible for interior painting of buildings and amenities.

Description

Basic Function:

Assists Service Supervisor in preserving and maintaining physical facilities and grounds within the community so they are safe and aesthetically appealing to residents and prospective residents. Assists in other types of maintenance as needed.

Principle Responsibilities:

The activities listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the types of activities normally performed by the Maintenance Technician. Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Functions

1. Provides service to residents in a prompt and professional manner.
2. Provides repair work on vacant apartments in a timely fashion.
3. Assists Service Supervisor in completing projects.
4. Completes service requests in a timely manner.
5. Completes preventive maintenance checklist.
6. Performs on-call duty for emergency or when assigned.
7. Responsible for interior painting of buildings and amenities.

Approves

1. Routine maintenance and repairs.
2. Replacement of minor parts.

Develops or Review and Submits to Service Supervisor for Review and Approval:

1. Replacement of major equipment.
2. Ideas for improving service and performance.

Requirements

Education Training and Experience:

*EPA Certification Required

One year certificate from college or technical school; or two years related experience at an apartment community and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Abilities and Aptitudes:

Must be results orientated and self-starter. Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Must be mechanically inclined. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, and fee; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

Specific Skills:

Must be mechanically inclined with knowledge of plumbing, heating, air conditioning, constructional and electrical procedures. Must be able to use all types of hand and power tools, Freon recovery machinery, air conditioning gauges and vacuum pumps.
