Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a maintenance technician in Austin, TX to maintain hospital equipment, buildings and systems. The role is full-time, day shift, with on-call duties and some weekend work.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in healthcare settings, and preferably an associate's degree or 3-5 years related experience; HVAC/EPA certification is a plus and reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting required!!
• Preferred: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college, or 3 to 5 years related experience or training.
• Graduation from a technical school and HVAC (EPA) Certification a huge plus.
• Must have dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develops, evaluates and implements departmental for the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, buildings and building systems.
• Administrates and manages the preventative maintenance program to ensure uninterrupted operation of the entire physical plant
• Coordinates the repair of equipment or recommends the replacement of, additions to, equipment or physical plant as necessary.
• Set priorities, plans work schedules, makes job assignments, orders needed materials, supplies and parts. Recommends use of outside specialty contractors as circumstances indicate.
• Schedules and supervises maintenance repair work, alterations, remodeling, construction, and the checkout, installation, and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment and building systems.
• Maintains an inventory of parts and supplies to maximize the operational readiness of the hospital'sbuildings, systems and equipment with due respect to the limitations of cost, regulations and relative priorities.
• Performs weekly/monthly preventative maintenance program of fire alarm system according to National Fire Prevention Association criteria.
