Job summary:The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general and preventive maintenance, repairs, andupkeep on physical structures, facility equipment, and grounds, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations,industry standards, and company policies. Duties include troubleshooting and maintaining HVAC, plumbing,electrical, and mechanical systems, along with performing touch-up painting, carpentry, and other structuralrepairs.Essential functions of the job:· Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer recom-mendations, operations manuals, and industry best practices to ensure optimal performance and lon-gevity.· Assist inspectors and contractors with the testing, inspection, and repair of building structures, me-chanical systems, and equipment to maintain compliance with safety regulations.· Complete work orders and special projects efficiently within specified time frames, prioritizing tasksbased on urgency and operational needs.· Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the maintenance shop and storage areas, follow-ing best practices for tool care, inventory management, and workspace cleanliness.· Conduct regular inspections of tools and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and updatingmaintenance records to track condition and service history.· Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues, providingquick resolutions to minimize disruption and ensure facility safety.· Uphold hospitality and service standards, ensuring positive interactions and support for residents,staff, and guests.· Remain composed under pressure, effectively managing multiple tasks and responding to emergen-cies with professionalism and urgency.· Always adhere to Lenbrook rules and dress code.· Perform other tasks assigned to support operational efficiency, safety, and facility functionality.Skills and aptitude required:· Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fireprotection.· Proficiency in operating hand and power tools, as well as reading and interpreting common measuringinstruments.· Ability to safely and correctly use a Digital Volt-Ohm Meter (DVOM) for electrical testing and diagnos-tics.· Organizational and planning skills, with the ability to interpret and implement the programs, goals, ob-jectives, and procedures of the physical plant unit.· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and general document handling.· Proficient at reading, writing, and understanding the English language both verbal and written.· Ability to demonstrate our Core Values: Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.Physical requirements:· Must be able to independently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; team lifting required forheavier loads.· Requires frequent reaching above, below, and at shoulder level.· Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.· Must be capable of working in varied weather conditions, including wet, dry, extreme heat, extremecold, snow, and ice, with temperatures ranging from -5ºF to 105ºFEducation and experience required:· High school diploma or GED required.· Completion of an accredited technical school program or two-year college preferred.· Valid driver’s license or state-issued ID required.· Basic electrical knowledge is essential.· 2+ years of hands-on maintenance in a professional setting.· Experience in hotel, apartment, or high-rise building maintenance
