ABOUT THE JOB

As a Production Maintenance Technician at Arsenal 1, you will be the backbone of our manufacturing reliability. You will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime, performance, and safety of all production assets. This is a multi-craft role requiring hands‑on troubleshooting and repair across advanced automation, industrial robotics, automated conveyance, PLCs, and general mechanical machinery.

We are actively hiring across both First and Second Shifts for highly skilled technicians who thrive in fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environments.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Equipment Commissioning, Line Setup & Integration
    • New Line Installation: Assist with mechanical assembly, precision leveling, anchoring, routing, and drop-in placement of new production machinery.
    • Commissioning Support: Partner closely with internal engineers and external OEM/integrators during the start up of new production lines.
    • Baseline Establishment: Help build our maintenance infrastructure from scratch by assisting in creating new standard operating procedures (SOPs), spare parts inventories, and Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules.
  • Automation, Robotics & Electrical
    • Troubleshoot, program adjustments, and support industrial robotics, including teach pendant operation, mastering, calibration, and mechanical rebuilds.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to trace I/O, resolve hardware faults, and safely execute program resets.
    • Troubleshoot electrical components up to 480V 3-phase, including servo drives, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), sensors, proximity switches, and safety circuits.
    • Interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, P&IDs, and technical equipment manuals.
  • Conveyance & General Mechanical Machinery
    • Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on high-speed conveyance systems (belt, roller, chain, overhead), sorting systems, and automated transfer systems.
    • Diagnose, repair, and replace mechanical components including gearboxes, motors, drive assemblies, bearings, shafts, belts, and pulleys.
    • Troubleshoot and rebuild pneumatic and hydraulic systems (cylinders, valves, manifolds, regulators, and compressors).
    • Perform basic machining, fabrication, and welding repairs as needed to support production continuity.
  • Preventative Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
    • Execute rigorous Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work orders, parts usage, and root-cause solutions.
    • Perform rapid root-cause failure analysis (RCFA) to prevent repeat breakdowns.
    • Actively participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S initiatives.
    • Adhere strictly to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash safety (NFPA 70E), OSHA regulations, and company safety standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, which requires regular interaction with production and manufacturing stakeholders and frequently working directly on the production floor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 3–5+ years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, Electro-Mechanical Technician, or Mechatronics Technician in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with industrial automation, PLCs, and 6‑axis robotics.

  • Must be able to work the designated shift (1st or 2nd) and be available for occasional overtime or weekend support as production schedules require.
  • U.S. citizenship is required pursuant to contractual obligations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree or vocational certification in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
  • Formal certifications in FANUC, KUKA, ABB, or Rockwell Automation/Allen‑Bradley systems.
