Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair property buildings and grounds in a hands-on capacity. The role includes preparing vacant units for occupancy, keeping an inventory of supplies, and ensuring tools are on hand for daily tasks.

The position requires knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, plus property maintenance experience. On-call availability and adherence to OSHA safety policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with property maintenance/handyman work.
• HVAC, plumbing and electrical knowledge.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Must be available for on-call work.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily repair and upkeep of property and vacant unit preparation.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand and maintenance shop is secure.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding property or residents.
• Maintain professional appearance and property uniform.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and safety policies at all times.
• Handle 24-hour service requests and evictions lock-outs.
• Snow and ice removal as needed.
• Secure maintenance shops at end of shift.

Job description

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician!

Maintenance Technicians Maintain the efficient operation and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds in a supportive role.

Responsibilities include:

• Take responsibility for the daily repair and upkeep of the property and the preparation of vacant units for occupancy
• Maintain and keep an inventory of all supplies and equipment
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents
• Maintain the required property uniform ensuring a professional appearance
• Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times
• Be available to work on an on-call basis
• Secure the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every workday
• Remove snow and ice as necessary
• Handle all lock-outs as a result of evictions and take responsibility for 24-hour response to service requests

Requirements:

• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Property maintenance/handyman experience

Compensation:

Full-Time $ 23.00 to $ 25.00 per hour
