Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Maintenance Training Specialist for our Columbus, Ohio location. The role will support operations, provide on-the-job training, and ensure adherence to site training processes.

You will work with the Maintenance team to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and to develop training materials and assessments. The position requires hands-on expertise in Rockwell PLCs, motor wiring, and high-speed equipment.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED required with preference for related trade training.
• 5 years of controls/electrician experience with Rockwell and PLC systems.
• Experience diagnosing electrical/mechanical malfunctions and repairs.
• Capable of wiring and replacing electric motors and handling 480VAC.

Responsibilities

• Read electrical and process schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
• Train team members on repairs to production equipment and plant utilities.
• Operate, troubleshoot and maintain high-speed packaging, processing, and filling equipment.
