Job summary

JSP is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our Resins operations. This hands-on role maintains uptime, diagnoses equipment issues, and drives reliability improvements across production systems. Independent decision-making is essential in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a $1000 sign-on bonus, new pay rate of $25-27 per hour, and a rotating 12-hour shift schedule with overtime as needed. Benefits include health coverage, life and disability insurance, and a 401k match.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment independently.
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Experience working with PLCs and automated systems preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Execute and own preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose issues with motors, relays, fuses, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and meters for testing, calibration, and fault isolation.
• Perform fabrication, cutting, and welding as needed.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate effectively with operations, shift leadership, and maintenance teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability efforts.

Shift Differential: + $.75/hour for all hours worked from 3p-7a

ROTATING SCHEDULE REQUIRED - 12 hour shifts (7a-7p & 7p-7a, both shifts are required)

This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role responsible for maintaining uptime, diagnosing equipment issues, and driving reliability improvements across critical production systems. You’ll work with a variety of equipment and systems, requiring strong troubleshooting ability and independent decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in an industrial environment
• Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders
• Ability to operate or become certified on a forklift
• Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including overtime as needed
