Job summary

Rubber Manufacturing is seeking a Maintenance Tech to ensure the reliability and functionality of plant equipment, tools, and utilities. The role involves hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, and minor repairs to keep rubber manufacturing lines running smoothly.

You will perform routine service, preventative maintenance, and equipment replacements, while coordinating with team members to minimize downtime and safety risks in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service, setup, adjustment and repairs of rubber manufacturing equipment.
• Perform Predictive & Preventative tasks associated with heavy industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Identify and correct defects in equipment during preventative maintenance inspections.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain typical ball & roller bearings.
• Perform basic pipe fitting and welding.
• Rig and handle lifting operations for large equipment replacements.
• Use hand tools, portable electric tools and maintenance shop equipment.
• Rebuild spare equipment and components.
• Take precise bearing fits and mounting tolerances measurements.
• Plan, execute mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Operate lift trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts as needed for maintenance.

Maintenance Tech

Completes the plant maintenance activities and ensures the functionality of equipment, tools, and utility systems of the plant, by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Ability to perform routine service, setup, adjustment and repairs of rubber manufacturing equipment.
• Perform Predictive & Preventative tasks associated with heavy industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Identify and correct defects in equipment during preventative maintenance inspections.
• Installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of typical ball & roller bearings.
• Perform basic pipe fitting and welding.
• Proficient in rigging/lifting fundamentals required for large equipment replacements.
• Proficient at using hand tools, portable electric tools & maintenance shop equipment.
• Rebuild spare equipment and components.
• Precision measurements of bearing fits and mounting tolerances
• Identify, plan, execute mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Operate lift trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts etc. related to job needs.
