The Mississippi Department of Transportation is seeking a second-level vocational technician to perform essential maintenance and traffic system tasks. This role includes repairing traffic signals, installing and maintaining signs, applying herbicide and snow/ice chemicals, striping, traffic control, pothole patching, and disaster response.
Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years of related experience.
Second-level vocational position accountable for technical work involving the least complex equipment operation and maintenance. Employees may also be responsible for repairing traffic signals; installing and maintaining signs; applying herbicide, pesticide, and snow and ice chemicals; striping; traffic control; pothole patching; and responding to natural and man-made disasters.
