Job summary

TekniPlex in Tennessee is seeking a Maintenance Technician with 1–2 years of related experience to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, read blueprints, and support extrusion processes. The role requires welding, mold changes, and adherence to safety and food safety policies.

You will perform data entry in the Maintenance Management System and work the 5:45 PM–6:00 AM shift, including every other weekend, in a production environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Completion of Maintenance I, Skills Assessment or equivalent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoots and repairs moderate to complex equipment problems.

• Must be able to work 545p- 6a, and every other weekend

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

1-2 years of related experience and/or training and/or completion of the Maintenance I, Skills Assessment.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to print simple sentences and legibly complete reports and time cards. Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
