Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Maintenance Tech II for the ATL Lab Distribution Center. The role focuses on upkeep of facilities, general repairs, and support of production through maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities include carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical work, and preventive maintenance, with forklift and conveyor experience preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 3+ years in distribution or facilities maintenance.

  • Troubleshoot equipment such as shipping lines and box erectors.
  • Respond to management requests and perform additional duties.

Job description

Maintenance Tech II – M05138 Maintenance DC – ATL Lab (Full‑Time)

The Maintenance Tech II is responsible for the upkeep and repair of interior and exterior surfaces, fixtures, parking areas, and work areas related to the Distribution Center environment. The role supports production needs through maintenance of facility equipment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for painting; select proper coating and painting materials; apply painting/coating materials with rollers or brush depending on surface.
  • Repair and hang doors; repair and install locks.
  • Install and finish drywall, and perform plumbing repairs.
  • Perform carpentry and other woodworking duties.
  • Perform minor electrical work as required.
  • Coordinate stocking of inventory and purchase equipment and materials needed.
  • Assemble, move, and repair any active, reserve, and pallet racking as necessary.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of equipment such as shipping lines and box erectors.
  • Execute any additional functions deemed necessary by management.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of distribution experience.
  • Coursework in building maintenance.
  • Three to five years prior work experience in carpentry, painting, masonry, drywall or plumbing.
  • Experience with conveyor and automation preferred.
  • General overall knowledge of building maintenance and repair.
  • Consistent satisfactory experience and attendance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Follow instructions furnished in verbal or written format.
  • Ability to safely operate power industrial trucks, forklifts and other equipment; some equipment may place operators over 30 feet above the floor level (where applicable).
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on a concrete floor for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, moving, walking, pushing, pulling and twisting as well as repetitive motion.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds.
Pay and Benefits

Pay is determined by multiple factors including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
