The primary function of this role is under minimal supervision, performs expert level mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s manuals, diagrams, schematics and sketches. Work with Maintenance Supervisor and shift lead on work assignments and priorities. Document work completed and communicate work progress and completion with Maintenance supervision and Operational Team as required.Essential FunctionsList the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results) which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.A. Ensures compliance with safety and housekeeping practices, company policies and proceduresB. Work on Lean/5S activities related to the facility as needed.C. Work with outside contractors on various plant projects and repairsD. Inspect machinery determining root causes of malfunction while performing diagnostic checks. Remove, replace, or repair worn or defective parts safely returning equipment to operational status in minimum time required.E. Work from complex diagrams, schematics, prints, work orders, and comply with specifications as required.F. Maintain and repair various types of production equipment including, but not limited to, presses, furnaces, ovens, welding machines, conveyance, fans, motors, pumps, and inspection equipment.G. Work through PLC, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic machine concerns and properly repair items in a timely manner.H. Use all tools and measuring instruments familiar to the trade.I. Assist with equipment moves as needed ensuring all safety requirements are met before and during the move.J. Work in various locations, including confined spaces, and at varied heights using fall protection, permits, and other safety processes and procedures as required including but not limited to lockout/tagoutK. Performs other duties as assignedBasic QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent required3 - 4 years of maintenance experienceLegally authorized to work in the United States without ongoing company sponsorshipPreferred CriteriaAwareness of the work impact to ISO 14001 regulationsMaintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
