Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support daily manufacturing operations in a pharmaceutical setting.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment, participate in preventive maintenance, and help improve long-term reliability while ensuring compliance with cGMP and documentation standards. The role requires 3–5 years of electromechanical experience, a high school diploma or GED (technical degree preferred), and familiarity with CMMS tools such as

Qualifications

  • Must have 3–5 years of electromechanical experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical associate degree preferred.
  • Experience in a regulated pharmaceutical/manufacturing environment (cGMP) is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment failures.
  • Assist in preventive maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Review equipment component failures and recommend improvements for reliability.
  • Maintain equipment documentation and change control per internal procedures.
  • Assist in spare parts analysis and inventory development.
  • Assist in installation and startup of new equipment.
  • Demonstrate clear written and verbal English communication; understand cGMP.

Your Role

The Maintenance Technician II works as a key member of a high-performance team responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations and equipment in a pharmaceutical production environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical/mechanical equipment failures.
  • Assist in developing, monitoring, and performing preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Assist in review and tracking of equipment component failures and help make recommendations for increased long term reliability.
  • Maintain appropriate equipment documentation and change control according to internal procedures.
  • Assist in spare part analysis and inventory development.
  • Assist in the installation and startup of new equipment.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills (ability to read, write and speak fluent English) and understanding of cGMP regulations. Good procedural writing skills.
  • Experience with CMMS (i.e. Maximo) preferred.
  • Ability to read schematics preferred.
What You'll Bring
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to use enterprise software preferred (examples include: JDE, BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have 3-5 years of electromechanical experience.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED, Technical Associates degree preferred.
  • Medical device or pharmaceutical regulated industry experience preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $72,000 - $99,000 annually. The estimated salary is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
