Qualifications

• At least three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Knowledge of basic shop mathematics including fractions, decimals, and conversions.
• Ability to read and comprehend hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural schematics.
• Ability to convert inch to metric.
• Ability to use gauging equipment (dial indicators, micrometers, etc.).
• Handling gearboxes, brakes, motors on cranes and similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment and facilities.
• Diagnoses, tests, disassembles, inspects, repairs and re-assembles plant equipment or components (hydraulic/pneumatic).
• Performs skilled troubleshooting and servicing of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Replaces and adjusts mechanical clutches and drive trains as needed.
• Repairs worn parts, fabricates fixtures (welding, cutting, brazing).
• Assists junior personnel in equipment repairs and ensures proper direction of work.
• Records labor and material used for each repair.
• Adheres to safety procedures and uses lift equipment properly.
• Maintains regular and on-time attendance and works as scheduled.
• Occasionally supports production during irregular hours.
