Job summary

Abington Memorial Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Tech (General II) for the 3rd shift. The role covers installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of a wide range of mechanical equipment and building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and control systems.

Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and recording maintenance activities; supporting ventilation and medical gas systems; and assisting other technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional education/training preferred.
• 3 years of related experience required.
• Journeyman Mechanical Maintenance (or equivalent) preferred; knowledge of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs urgent, corrective, routine, preventative, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment and systems.
• Maintains records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed on equipment or systems.
• Maintains and repairs distribution systems involving vacuum, medical air, medical gas systems and air compressors.
• Maintains and repairs pneumatic equipment in engine rooms, including hot water converters, thermostats, induction units, sump pumps and related piping.
• Assists other trade maintenance technicians with more complex repairs as needed.
