  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Train and mentor Level 1 technicians and machine operators.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and document actions and needs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement to reduce costs and increase productivity.

SUMMARY

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance troubleshooting and repair tasks in order to ensure the efficient operation of machinery equipment and facilities The role requires a robust technical aptitude and the ability to work individually or as part of a team There are three levels of skillset in this position each with varying degrees of expertise and responsibilities This job description is for Maintenance Technician II HOURS 630 am 330 pm Monday Friday

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function As a Maintenance Technician II you will be responsible for performing more complex maintenance and repair tasks as well as operating machines You will work independently or under limited supervision and handle a wider range of equipment and systems All essential functions of a Maintenance Technician IPossess intermediate knowledge and skills in maintenance and repair tasksIndependently troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctionsPerform complex repairs and adjustments to machinery and equipmentConduct electrical and mechanical tests to identify problems and ensure proper functioningAssist in the installation and commissioning of new equipmentCollaborate with other team members to develop maintenance strategies and schedulesOperate the machines related to productionTrain and mentor Level 1 technicians and all levels of Machine OperatorsMaintain inventory of spare parts and equipmentMaintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needsMaintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area machines and equipmentIdentify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectivenessMaintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisormanager in discussing matters of importance Adhere to established company values practices policies and procedures at all times Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules laws regulations and standards Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications In additional to Maintenance Technician I qualifications5 years experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment Pipe fitting pump repair and plumbing repair experience Mechanical knowledge of conveyors and material transfer equipment Experience with preventative maintenance programsExperience with packaging equipment case erectors case sealers palletizersBasic electrical knowledge with 110220480 volt powerGeneral experience with building maintenanceExperience with Liquid fill equipment
