Job summary

NSG Group in Versailles, KY, is seeking a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a 24/7 automotive glass processing plant. You will repair production equipment, document activities in CMMS, and implement 5S in maintenance areas.

The role requires reading blueprints and strong troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems. Work involves varied shifts, off-shift coverage, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• AS Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field.
• Experience with electro-mechanical maintenance on industrial facilities equipment.
• Ability to pass an accredited Industrial Maintenance Exam (Written and Hands-On).
• Professional behavior, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work safely with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read blueprints for specific disciplines.
• Troubleshoot and repair process and production equipment breakdowns.
• Demonstrated mechanical systems troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated electrical control system troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to exhibit an extreme sense of urgency.
• Ability to satisfy requirements of the Functional Job Description.

• Monitor emergency breakdowns and arrange technical assistance.
• Provide training and direction to new employees.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job description

Work Environment:

This position is based full-time at the Versailles, KY manufacturing facility, with regular presence required on the production floor across all shifts, including periodic off-shift, weekend, and holiday coverage to support a 24/7 operation. The plant environment includes exposure to manufacturing conditions typical of automotive glass processing, including heat (tempering/furnace areas), noise, glass handling, forklift and overhead crane traffic, and use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves, steel-toed footwear) in designated areas. The role requires the physical ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility for extended periods, climb stairs/platforms, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Office time is spent in a standard plant administration setting.

• Communicate with all positions as necessary to successfully complete assigned projects and ensure the Plant equipment & facilities are in proper working order
• Generate information to secure the necessary parts to complete projects and repairs
• Participate in PM events in all areas as necessary
• Monitor all emergency break down calls and call for technical assistance as needed
• Provide training and direction to new employees in order to achieve business needs
• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• AS Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field (desired)
• Technical education and/or significant electro-mechanical maintenance experience required on Industrial Facilities equipment (CNC equipment, Robots, Servo systems, hydraulic and power transmission, Instrumentation devices, Electrical Distribution components)
• Ability to pass an accredited Industrial Maintenance Exam (Written and Hands-On)
• Professional behavior, communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to work Safely and Proficiently with minimal supervision required
• Ability to read blueprints for specific disciplines is required
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair process and production equipment breakdowns required
• Demonstrated Mechanical systems troubleshooting skills and experience
• Demonstrated electrical control system troubleshooting skills and experience
• Ability to exhibit an extreme sense of urgency
• Demonstrated ability to satisfy requirements of the ‘Functional Job Description’

Rotating Day OR Evening Shifts - 2/2/3 - we will provide a schedule upon hire

Work 6 months - every OTHER weekend

Shift Available - 6:15pm-6:30am - YOU WILL NOT WORK BOTH SHIFTS

Hourly Range from $32.00-$40.50 will DOE- OT will be at least 12 hours per week, but will level off in the coming months
