Job summary

Plastech Corporation in Rush City, MN seeks a Maintenance Technician for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts to maintain and repair production equipment and facilities. You will install, inspect, and service machines, coordinate with OEMs, and ensure uptime of critical systems.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, sprinklers, and forklifts, with a 6/3 rotating schedule and a $500 bonus after 90 days, contingent on performance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience or training, or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs and programming at troubleshooting/installation level.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, control, and hydraulic schematics.
• Set up and troubleshoot frequency drives.
• Experience with injection molding machines (hydraulic/electric preferred).
• Understand robotic parts extractor and dry sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of AC and DC power and 3-phase power.
• Strong time management and interpersonal communication.
• Able to work unsupervised or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Install equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot issues.
• Interface with OEMs for installation, troubleshooting and training.
• Maintain building services: cooling towers, chillers, air compressors, and sprinklers.

Job description

Plastech Corporation is now hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. In this position you perform routine and non-routine maintenance and repair of machines, auxiliary equipment, buildings and facilities. In this role, you will perform machine installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on production and auxiliary equipment. This includes interfacing with OEM technical personnel regarding installation, troubleshooting, repair, and training to reduce equipment downtime and ensure equipment is running properly. This position maintains building services which includes; cooling towers, chillers, air compressors, fire sprinkler systems (isolate and reset sprinkler valves), forklifts, and other auxiliary equipment to insure all support equipment functions properly.

The schedule for this position is on a6&3 rotating schedule, working 6 days and then 3 days off!

Hours Available

• 1st Shift 7:00am to 3:30pm ($28.00-$30.00/hour DOQ)
• 2nd Shift - 3:00pm to 11:30pm ($30.00-$32.00/hour DOQ)

External candidates receive a $500 BONUS after 90 days of employment (must meet performance and attendance requirements).

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong working knowledge of PLC's and programming at a troubleshooting and installation level.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, control, and hydraulic schematics and prints.
• Ability to set up and troubleshoot frequency drives.
• Complete understanding of the functions of injection molding machines (hydraulic and electric experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of the functions of robotic parts extractor.
• Strong understanding of the functions of a dry sprinkler system.
• Strong understanding of both AC power (including three phase) and DC power.
• Strong time management skills.
• Strong inter-personal communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and also the ability to work on a team.
