Job summary

Oceans Owners Council seeks a skilled maintenance technician to service our multifamily condo properties. You will perform electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and general repairs, ensuring safe, functional systems.

You will participate in on-call rotation with the Maintenance Supervisor and communicate effectively with residents and staff. A high school diploma and 3+ years in commercial high-rise buildings are required, with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Three or more years working experience in commercial high-rise buildings.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC.
• Understanding of appliance, electrical and plumbing repair.
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, and management.
• On‑call emergency availability during nights and weekends.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs or more regularly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain multifamily condo units and property structures to ensure functional systems.
• Perform minor electrical repairs (switches, outlets, bulbs).
• Perform minor plumbing repairs (leaks, faucets, drains).
• Paint and carpentry tasks (doors, locks, handles).
• Participate in on-call service rotation.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with other duties as assigned.

Skills in areas such as plumbing, grounds upkeep, carpentry, painting, and janitorial and electrical services.

Participate in “on-call” rotation, as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor. Prompt and courteous response to after‑hours issues is required.

Accept other responsibilities and assignments from Maintenance Supervisor or General Manager, on an as‑needed basis.

Essential Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintains multifamily condo units and other property structures to determine functional systems, detect malfunctions and needed repairs
• Performs minor electrical repairs (e.g. repair/replacement of wall switches and outlets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, replacement of incandescent and fluorescent bulbs)
• Performs minor plumbing repairs (e.g. replacement or repairs of leaks in drains, faucets, unclogging of drains, replacement of washers and hoses)
• Performs painting, carpentry (e.g. hanging doors, fitting locks, and handles, etc.)
• On-call Service Rotation
• Performs other related duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Three or more years working experience in commercial high-rise buildings

• Basic knowledge of HVAC.
• Understanding of appliance, electrical and plumbing repair.

• Available for on‑call emergency calls during the night and weekends.
