Job summary

Parallel Employment Group is seeking a Cup Forming Mechanic in Sturtevant, WI, to support production with maintenance on cup-forming equipment. Shifts: 2nd shift 3pm-11pm; 3rd shift 3pm-11pm Mon-Thu and Fri as scheduled.

The role involves repairing or adjusting equipment, lubricating machinery, and performing routine maintenance to ensure efficient production runs. Prior experience with industrial controls and safety standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with 5S and safety standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with machine maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Repair or adjust equipment, replacing worn parts.
• Lubricate machinery and perform routine maintenance.
• Clean machines and machine parts using solvents, cloths, air tools, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
• Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines or parts.
• Record production and maintenance information.
• Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
• Study blueprints, schematics, manuals or specifications for installation procedures.
• Maintain equipment logs and observe machine performance to detect issues.
• Ensure compliance with work safety standards and food safety requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs.

Job description

Job title: Cup Forming Mechanic (Production Mechanic/Maintenance Tech is more common name) Job location: Sturtevant, WI. Available shifts: 2nd shift Monday- Friday 3pm- 11pm 3rd shift Monday- Thursday 3pm- 11pm Fridays as scheduled Job locations: Sturtevant, WI Pay: $32- 35/hr.

BOE Primary Responsibility:

• Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts.
• Lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine machinery maintenance.
• Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
• Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
• Collect and discard worn machine parts and others refuse to maintain machinery and work areas.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools.
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
• Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
• Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
• Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
• Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
• Coordinate efforts with other workers involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components.
• Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems.
• Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
• Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use or to analyze malfunctions.
• Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
• Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.
• Responsible for compliance with work safety standards.
• Responsible for maintaining high quality standards and supporting food safety and product quality.
• Employees should have a working understanding of their role in supporting the Food Safety Management System and the food safety hazards of the job to which they are assigned.
• Participate in relevant continuous improvement programs.
• Participation in training programs as identified by SEDA management.
• Continuously improve self and department’s performance.

Skill Requirements:

• Knowledge in 5S, Mathematical Computations, Problem Solving Skills, Metric System and FANUC & Mitsubishi Controllers a plus. Palletizer and Blanking.

• Mechanicals and facilities maintenance.
