Job summary

Weekender Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform basic repairs and routine maintenance to keep our Manchester, VT property in excellent condition. You will handle tasks like carpentry, plumbing, painting, and hardware checks while responding to guest and staff requests.

You will inspect equipment, assist with larger projects under supervision, and follow safety protocols. Strong communication and physical stamina are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks.
• Excellent communication with guests and staff regarding maintenance requests.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs such as light bulb replacement, unclogging drains, patching walls, and minor carpentry or painting tasks.
• Assist with routine inspections of equipment (e.g., HVAC filters, plumbing fixtures, safety devices) and report issues promptly.
• Support outdoor upkeep, including light landscaping, snow removal, or debris cleanup.
• Complete assigned work orders accurately and on time.
• Follow safety procedures when using tools, equipment, and chemicals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas and storage spaces.
• Provide courteous and timely responses to guest and staff requests.
• Assist Maintenance II and leadership staff with larger repairs or projects.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

As a Maintenance Technician I, you’ll focus on routine maintenance tasks, preventative care, and responding to basic repair requests. You’ll help keep the property in excellent condition by handling minor repairs, supporting preventative maintenance, and assisting with larger projects under supervision.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina and dexterity.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to be on foot for long periods, up to 90% of day.
• Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, crawling, and/or bending throughout shift.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50lbs from time to time.

The Pay Range For This Role Is

21 - 25 USD per hour(Manchester, VT)
