Job summary

Ahhmgt is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs across building systems. You will manage work orders, order parts, and ensure safe, compliant operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.

The role requires attention to detail and quick response during emergencies. On-site position in Eunice, LA, with responsibilities including inspections, equipment lubrication, filter changes, and compliance with hospital safety

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of preventive maintenance schedules, work orders and safety policies.
• Order supplies/parts and submit orders as directed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and clean facilities.
• Lubricate mechanical equipment as needed.
• Replace air-conditioning filters on a routine basis.
• Complete work orders and PMs promptly.
• Notify Director of unusual/unsafe conditions.
• Inspect plumbing, heating, electrical systems, structures and roofs.
• Conduct electrical safety tests as required.
• Secure tools, equipment and parts.
• Maintain rooms, walls and ceilings per codes/manuels.
• Paint and refinished surfaces as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards OSHA and safety codes.
• Respond quickly during emergencies and follow safety protocols.
• Assist with setups of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems; perform repairs.
• Inspect alarm systems (CO2, fire protection) and schedule repairs.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Perform monthly generator testing.
• Support other duties to uphold our mission and values.

Description

1. Maintains records of preventative maintenance schedules, work orders, and safety.

2. Provides information to order supplies/parts/ and submits order as directed.

3. Cleans and performs preventative maintenance on all equipment in the facilities as assigned.

4. Lubricates mechanical equipment as needed.

5. Changes air-conditioning filters on a routine basis.

6. Completes work orders and PM’s on a timely basis.

7. Notifies Director of unusual problems or questionable conditions.

8. Inspects facilities plumbing, heating, electrical systems, structures, and roofs.

9. Performs electrical safety test as required.

11. Secures tools, equipment and parts.

12. Maintains rooms, walls, and ceilings in accordance with pertinent codes or manuals.

13. Paints and refinishes walls, doors, fixtures and furniture as applicable.

14. Ensures compliance with hospital accreditation standards/OSHA/ and state and federal building and safety codes.

15. Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notifies appropriate personnel and follows safety protocol to include quick response when a Code is called.

16. Support the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.

17. Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection and quickly schedule repairs when needed

• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.

19. Performs or assist with monthly generator testing.
