Job summary

MOLARI Employment and HealthCare Services seeks a Temporary Maintenance Technician for a 78-unit Dalton, MA apartment community. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, turnover prep, and resident satisfaction for a ~3-month engagement.

Work is Mon–Fri, 40 hours, 8:00am–4:30pm, with no on-call duties. Responsibilities include turnovers, basic plumbing/heating, work orders, and cleanliness maintenance.

Qualifications

• Proven professional property maintenance experience required.
• Ability to work efficiently without direct supervision and meet tight deadlines.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy items, climb stairs, and use ladders.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Passing a pre-employment background screening is required.

• Apartment turnovers: prepare vacant units for new residents, including painting, walls repair, and deep cleaning.
• Systems & appliance maintenance: diagnose, repair, or replace basic plumbing and heating configurations, fixtures and major appliances.
• Work orders & customer service: complete resident requests professionally.
• Janitorial & grounds: maintain interior/exterior cleanliness; snow removal outsourced.
• Preventative care: implement long-term property longevity solutions.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and customer-service-oriented Temporary Maintenance Technician to assist with day-to-day property upkeep for a 78 Unit apartment complex in Dalton. This role focuses heavily on preventative maintenance, residential service requests, turnover preparation, and resident satisfaction. This is anticipated to last at least 3 months. This is a 40 hour week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with no on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Apartment Turnovers: Prepare vacant units for incoming residents, including painting, repairing walls, and deep cleaning.
• Systems & Appliance Maintenance: Diagnose, repair, or replace basic plumbing and heating configurations, faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, and major appliances.
• Work Orders & Customer Service: Complete resident service requests efficiently while maintaining a professional, respectful, and friendly demeanor as a company representative.
• Janitorial & Grounds: Maintain exceptional interior and exterior cleanliness, including carpet cleaning. (Note: Primary snow removal is outsourced).
• Preventative Care: Implement long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes to ensure property longevity.
