Job summary

Goodier Cosmetics in Dallas, TX is seeking a Maintenance Tech for a temporary-to-permanent position to service and maintain production equipment in a cosmetic manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and preventing failures on fillers, conveyors, printers, and related machinery, using mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills while strictly following safety rules and work orders.

Qualifications

• Must have the technical Capacity, ethical conduct, communication proficiency, results driven and initiative to contribute and be an essential part of the team.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and physically capable of standing for long periods of time.
• Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic or Food Plant experience.
• Three years minimum related/equivalent mechanical background

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facilities such as Fillers, Tube Fillers, Conveyor Belts, Torque machines, Labelers and Printers.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Use hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment; report unsafe conditions.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

TEMP TO PERM POSITION

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment such as Fillers, Tube Fillers, Conveyor Belts, Torque machines, Labelers and Printers.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
