Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the Evening shift. The role focuses on maintenance, repair and upkeep of the hospital's physical plant, grounds and equipment. A valid driver’s license is required and candidates should demonstrate mechanical aptitude and safe tool handling.

• Must have valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to maintain, repair and replace existing utility systems and write up material specifications for projects.
• Mechanical aptitude and proven ability to use hand and power tools, to work on ladders at various heights, and demonstrate a safety-conscious attitude.
• Ability to operate large vehicles, tractors, plows, and various lawn equipment.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner and have the ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
• Ability and willing to work in a variety of environments, including office settings, classrooms, laboratories, mechanical rooms, service tunnels, and outside areas.
• Must be comfortable operating in a shared leadership environment and collaborative team environment, including mentoring and sharing knowledge with co-workers and contracted services.
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations.
• Comfortable using Microsoft office suite including word, email, mobile communication devices, and various internet applications.
• Must be able to test and pass safety competencies and uphold safety procedures consistently.

Supports, facilitates, and participates in the elder-focused social model of care.
